Are you ready to plunge into natural beekeeping?

Our courses are unique in that we teach a completely different style and approach to standard conventional Beekeeping.

Come and join Adrian Iodice for a fascinating and informative weekend learning natural, organic, biodynamic, bee-centric honey bee guardianship using Kenyan Top Bar hives and Golden Hives.

This course is designed for the backyard and small scale beekeeper seeking an alternative natural approach to standard commercial style beekeeping.

Saturday

We start at 10.00am. Tea coffee and lunch will be provided through out the day and we wind up around 4:30pm.

Staff at the Crossing will prepare a delicious wholesome dinner for us to eat together at around 5.30pm or you could head into Bermagui and have a meal at one of the restaurants or Pub

we will then screen a bee documentary at 7pm (More than honey) This is optional but well worth seeing. Some Q&A after the film and finish for the day.

Sunday

Start again at 10.00am. Tea coffee and lunch provided through out the day, then we finish around 3.00pm

Whats Included

  • Plans to build your own Kenyan Top Bar Hive (Les Crowder version)
  • A full list of great books, web sites and films to learn more in your own time
  • Continued support and access to Adrian for any questions on your journey into Honey Bee guardianship
  • Meet, hang out and hopefully stay in touch with other great people who are on the same path.
  • All meals during course hours provided by the wonderful staff at The Crossing.

Accommodation

Train carriage bunkhouse available at the Crossing for an additional $27.

What to Bring list

Its going to be a full 2 days of information so bring:

  • A pad and pen to take notes
  • You can also bring a recording device if you like or a video camera.
  • A light coloured, thick, long sleeve shirt or pullover
  • Long loose fitting pants
  • A veil or Bee suit if you have one
  • Fully enclosed shoes.

We will look into an active hive only if weather permits!)
